Surgical Robot Challenge 2016
Date: June 20 - 27, 2016
Location:Surgical Robot Challenge 2016 will be held during the Hamlyn Symposium in London, UK.
Surgical Robot Challenge 2016 is an international competition that will showcase the latest innovations in Surgical Robotics. The challenge involves bringing your surgical robot innovation to London in June 2016 and demonstrating it to pioneers and leaders of the field. The competition follows on from a highly successful competition in 2015 that saw 20 research teams from around the world demonstrating their surgical robot innovations. We are now looking for participants for the 2016 competition. Your innovation can be in any area of surgical robotics including surgical planning, vision, navigation, mechatronics, ergonomics, surgeon-robot interfaces and automation............for more information please visit

The sixth IEEE RAS/EMBS International Conference on Biomedical Robotics and Biomechatronics
Date: June 26 29, 2016
BioRob 2016 - is a joint effort of the two IEEE Societies of Robotics and Automation - RAS - and Engineering in Medicine and Biology - EMBS
BioRob covers both theoretical and experimental challenges posed by the application of robotics and mechatronics in medicine and biology. The primary focus of Biorobotics is to analyze biological systems from a "biomechatronic" point of view, trying to understand the scientific and engineering principles underlying their extraordinary performance. This profound understanding of how biological systems work, behave and interact can be used for two main objectives: to guide the design and fabrication of novel, high performance bio-inspired machines and systems for many different applications; and to develop novel nano, micro-, macro- devices that can act upon, substitute parts of, and assist human beings in prevention, diagnosis, surgery, prosthetics, rehabilitation and personal assistance.
Major Conference Themes
The technical program of IEEE BioRob2016 will consist of invited talks, special sessions, posters, and paper presentations. Papers can cover areas of Biorobotics and Biomechatronics including:
The 34th World Congress of Endourology and SWL (WCE 2016), includes topics such as Female Urology, Transurethral Surgery, Ureteroscopy, Percutaneous Surgery, ESWL, Urolithiasis, BPH, LESS/NOTES, Robotic/Lap Prostate, Robotic/Lap Bladder, Robotics/Lap Upper Urinary Tract, Adrenal/Testis, Education & Simulators, Imaging and Pediatrics.
